Fall is back again

...with its colors that sent a photographer to nirvana.  None of the shots require comments I believe so I'll shut up and let the images do the talking.

Whistler

Amazingly cute village, obviously decorated nicely for the Olympics. The impression of mountains surrounding the town and popping out everywhere you look,  between the buildings or in the end of the streets, is quite striking. I wish there were more of a blue sky but stupid nature doesn't always prepare to be photographed.

Westin is the hotel where the conference took place.

Sea-to-Sky Highway

The road to Whistler is a destination in and of itself. To me, it's at par with two most scenic drives I've ever taken - road to Hana on Maui and Oregon Coast. Make sure to stop at the spectacular Shannon Falls, Stawamus Chief mammoth granite monolith, cute Brandywine Falls... and enjoy the constantly changing scenery on the ocean side. That was a cloudy day so not much of a blue sky in the shots, but fog has its own charm.
